This 2021 Caterpillar D5 LGP dozer has 4,077 hours and is set up for the soft-ground and finish work that a standard machine struggles with. The Caterpillar C7 six-cylinder diesel and hydrostatic drive give infinitely variable ground speed and precise blade response, so the operator can creep through a finish pass or push hard on bulk dirt using the same controls. The low ground pressure undercarriage on 33-inch tracks with eight bottom rollers spreads the weight over wet or sandy sites and keeps the machine working when others stop. A 160-inch straight six-way blade covers grading, spreading and sidecasting, with a rear drawbar for towing and screen guards and sweeps fitted for brush.
