The short tail swing keeps the counterweight within the tracks through most of the rotation, allowing it to work against walls, in driveways and beside traffic where a standard machine would need the site closed. A Yanmar four-cylinder diesel with hydrostatic drive gives smooth, controllable multifunction operation, and the 5-tonne class transports easily on a standard trailer behind a suitable truck.
